Old Fashioned Dutch Street Vending Trike
These huge and beautiful street vendor's trikes were recently built to promote Old Timers licorice ("drop" in Dutch). Most foreigners can't stand the stuff but the Dutch love drop, especially the double-salt versions. This trike can thus carry 400kg of licorice, enough to keep a large Dutch family happy for decades.
This photo was taken just after they were completed but before the sign painter had worked his magic on the box. We await photos of the final bike in use.
This trike is modular to be used in various ways: open with the canopy up, with the hinged lid/signboard, or in any combination needed. All of the various parts can be quickly removed and stowed in holders in the box.
Everything was built with real, old-world quality: mahogany box, heavy steel fittings, stainless hardware etc etc. A hundred years from now people will still be admiring these bikes, and hopefull for Old Timers still enjoying their licorice.
Extensive custom work like this doesn't come cheaply, though the cost of these trikes is probably insignificant compared to the publicity and sales that will be generated with them. Can your company use bikes like this? Just contact us to discuss the possibilities.
